Wisdom

Wise people surround themselves with other wise people to sharpen their minds. Working together, they give birth to wisdom communities. The record of discussions held in these communities forms the basis for wisdom traditions. If you care to, walk with me as I seek wisdom in the posts below. Wisdom is born of reflecting on experience – one’s own or others.  A part of leading a knock-about life is making time to pursue wisdom.

Here are some of my thoughts as a member of the larger wisdom community. Warning: As a practitioner of the historical arts, I’m more interested in what philosophers have written, what that means and evokes in me, and how I might respond to them. I’m not interested in developing a novel approach to wisdom.
